Market Update: Nifty trading near 17400 up by 125 points; these companies are scaling 52-week high

NIFTY MEDIA is the best performing index and NIFTY PSU BANK is the worst-performing index.

After three days of subdued opening Nifty 50 saw a good opening in today’s trade thanks to a positive handover from the US market. It opened at 17370.1 against the previous close of 17266.75, which means a gap up of 103.35 points. Currently, it is trading at 17392.45. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 8.0 are trading below their previous close and 41.0 are trading above their yesterday's close. In today’s trade, more stocks in Nifty are trading in favour of advances. Overall, we see that there are more stocks trading in green.

After falling for most of the time in the last four trading sessions, today the best performing index is NIFTY MEDIA which is up by 1.34 per cent. This is followed by NIFTY PRIVATE BANK, which is up by  1.23 per cent. The worst performing index currently is NIFTY PSU BANK. It is down by -0.9 per cent. Out of the total 13.0 companies forming part of the index, 10.0 companies are trading in red, 3.0 are trading in green.
