Market Update: Nifty regains 17500; these companies are scaling new highs

Currently, the advance to decline ratio stands as 232:64.

The Indian equity market started the new year on a positive note. Nifty 50 opened in green at 17387.15 against the previous close of 17354.05, up by almost 70 points. The market has built momentum on this positive opening and is currently trading at 17515.1 up by 162 points. Out of 50 stocks in Nifty, 11 are trading below their previous close and 39 are trading above their yesterday close. In today’s trade, more stocks are trading in favour of advances and overall as well we can see that more stocks are trading in green.

On the first trading session of 2022, the best performing index is NIFTY REALTY, it is up by 1.86 per cent. This is followed by NIFTY IT, which is up by 1.33 per cent. The worst performing index currently (10:45 am) is NIFTY PHARMA. It is down by -0.42 per cent. Out of the total 20 companies forming part of the index, 12 companies are trading in red, 8 are trading in green.
