Market Movers: Centrum Capital, Vakrangee and Indian Overseas Bank top Group A

Taking global cues, India’s benchmark indices rallied amid hopes of a war truce as another round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine takes off, leading the soaring oil prices to cool off. S&P BSE Sensex logged a gain of 1.3 per cent or 740 points to close at 58683.99 while Nifty logged a gain of 1 per cent or 173 points to close at 17498.25.

Centrum Capital skyrocketed 19.87 per cent in today’s session to emerge as the biggest gainer in ‘A‘ Group. Today, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 26.85 and Rs 23.05, respectively and closed at the day’s high. The stock was also the biggest beneficiary of the rally in the financial sector, outperforming the sectoral index. S&P BSE Finance gained 1.7 per cent wherein Centrum Capital surged 19.87 per cent over the counters.
Vakrange rallied 12.67 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 32.90. The IT service management company’s stock tested its 52-week low in today’s session, post which it surged to emerge as one of the biggest gainers in Group A. It logged an intra-day high of 33.30.
Indian Overseas soared 10.17 per cent in today’s session The stock witnessed buying, emerging as the second-biggest gainer among the constituents of S&P BSE Finance. The stock logged its intra-day high and low at Rs 19.82 and 17.30 respectively, closing at 18.95.
