LT Foods gains on expansion in Australia and UAE
Kameda Seika, Japan’s largest rice crackers company as well as LT Foods’ joint venture company has started exporting Kari Kari in the markets of Australia & UAE.
Kari Kari is a premium, healthy, rice-based crunchy snack, which was introduced in India in January 2020. It is made from rice and peanuts, offering a range of hearty & wholesome savoury snack in four different flavours namely, chilli garlic, wasabi, salt & pepper and spice mania. This snack is inspired by the famous Kameda Crisps, which is a leader in the Japanese rice cracker market with around 30 per cent market share.
Kari Kari is available in over select 700 modern trade & standalone stores of the major cities in India and also, on leading e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart & Big Basket. The product will now be available in Perth, Sydney & Dubai. It will also be distributed through the grocery chain store ‘Aldi’ in Australia to enhance its presence. LT Foods also plans to expand the distribution of Kari Kari in GCC as well as New Zealand markets.
On Friday at 1.52 pm, the stock was trading 1.40 per cent higher at Rs 72.65 on BSE.
