L&T Construction secures significant contracts for its two businesses
Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T), an Indian multinational engaged in engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) projects, hi-tech manufacturing, and services, announced today that it has secured significant contracts from well-established clients for its two businesses. The value of these two contracts fall within the range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore.
The first order has been secured by the company’s water & effluent treatment business. The latter has bagged a repeat order from Uttar Pradesh State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM). The project scope comprises the implementation of rural water supply projects that provide functional house tap connection (FHTC) under Jal Jeevan Mission. This project is estimated to provide potable water to 1,285 villages in Varanasi and Ghazipur districts of Varanasi Revenue Division.
The second order has been secured by its buildings & factories’ business. The order has been received from a reputed developer for the construction of residential towers in Mumbai's suburb of Mulund. The project scope comprises the construction of the civil structure, which includes waterproofing, masonry, and plastering for seven residential towers. These towers have a built-up area of 43 lakh square feet that comprises a basement & ground along with 55 floors.
At 11.41 am on Thursday, the share price of L&T was trading at Rs 1,485.00 on BSE, which was a decrease of 1.08 per cent from its previous day’s closing price of Rs 1,501.25.
