L&T construction bags significant orders
L&T Limited’s construction arm has secured orders from prestigious clients for its varied businesses in India and abroad. The estimated value of these projects is Rs 1,000-2,500 crore.
Its water and effluent treatment segment has secured a water infrastructure order from a prestigious client in United Arab Emirates (UAE) to execute Recycled Water Transmission Pipeline Project. The scope of work involves Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) commissioning of Recycled Water Transmission Pipelines of 87 km with associated civil works, TSE Reservoirs, Microtunnelling Works, Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation Works.
It has also won a repeat EPC order from NMDC for the construction of a Pump House for Slurry & Water Pipeline Systems including supply of PD Pumps 400 m3/hr at 1,550 mWc and 1,500 m3/ hr at 30 mWc of Slurry Charge pumps, constructing pump house and associated facilities at Bacheli, Dantewada District (Chhattisgarh).
Another order has been secured from Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) for the work of the design and construction of infrastructure work for roads, drains, culverts, potable and recycle water supply systems, a sewerage system and power systems for a hi-tech township at Mahalunge, Pune.
Its heavy civil segment has secured an order from Konkan LNG Private Limited (KLPL) for new construction and rehabilitation for 2.31 km long breakwater. The scope includes design, model study, rehabilitation of existing work, dredging, quarrying, casting of new accropodes, etc.
L&T’s order book as on December 2019 stood at Rs 3,06,300 crore translating book to bill ratio of 2.2x considering its FY19 consolidated revenue.
On Thursday, the stock of L&T opened at Rs 1,216.95, marginally flat from its previous close of Rs 1,211.45.
