LT Construction bags rural water supply project
Larsen and Toubro informed the bourses that its Water & Effluent Treatment business has secured projects from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Government of Odisha.
The aggregate scope of work includes design, engineering, supply and erection of 5,828 Km of transmission and distribution pipelines, construction of 3 Intake structures of aggregate capacity of 82 MLD, 3 water treatment plants of aggregate capacity of 78 MLD, pumping stations and water storage structures.
The project comprises of automation with measurement of input and output water quantity and quality at each level through suitable SCADA and other instrumentation works. This will cater drinking water for 919 villages in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts of Odisha. The business has also secured add-on orders from some of its existing projects.
Larsen and Toubro has recently reported Q3FY19 results with a jump in revenue and PAT of 24 per cent and 37 per cent, respectively on YoY basis. The consolidated order book stood at Rs. 2,84,049 crore as on December 31, 2018, up by 5 per cent.
On Monday, the stock of Larsen and Toubro opened at Rs. 1,325 and made an intra-day high and low of Rs. 1,326.05 and Rs. 1,302 on the BSE, respectively, and finally closed at Rs. 1,307.25. The stock had hit its 52-week high of Rs. 1,459.10 on December 21, 2018 and its 52-week low of Rs. 1,183.40 on October 23, 2018 on the BSE.
