L&T Construction bags Rs. 2,388 crore order
Diversified company L&T's construction arm has received two Water & Effluent Treatment orders from Madhya Pradesh corporation and Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation.
The Water & Effluent Treatment business which falls under L&T Construction segment has bagged orders of Rs. 2,388 crore.
A major order was secured from the Jal Nigam Maryadit, Madhya Pradesh for rural water supply program in Satna, Kundatiya and Mohanpura. The funding for the project is from New Development Bank. The order includes design and erection of raw and clear water distribution pipelines of 11,272 km, construction of intake wells, and three water treatment plants of 260 MLD cumulative capacity. The scope of the project also includes 1.5 Km of D-shaped tunnel, clear water reservoirs, master balancing reservoirs, pump houses, 129 ML water storage structures with instrumentation works and service connections.
The second order is from the Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation. This EPC order is for providing Underground Sewerage Scheme (UGSS) to Phase II areas of the corporation. The project work includes construction of 225 Km of sewer pipelines, RCC manholes, pumping and lifting stations and sewer connections to 55,000 homes.
On Thursday, the stock of Larsen & Toubro Limited closed at Rs. 1,299.05 per share, up by 1.88 per cent, while the BSE Sensex closed at 36,548.41, up by 282.48 points or 0.78 per cent.
