L&T Construction bags order worth Rs. 5,704 crore, stock up 2 per cent
The share price of Larsen & Toubro surged by over 2 per cent on the bourses in Monday’s intraday trade as the company’s construction arm L&T Construction bagged another order worth Rs. 5,704 crore.
The company’s water and effluent treatment business secured the order from the Narmada Valley Development Authority, Government of Madhya Pradesh for the implementation of Indira Sagar Project- Parwati Phase I and II, and, Kalsindh Phase I micro lift irrigation scheme.
Recently, the company ’s construction arm had also bagged orders worth Rs. 2,112 crore including orders worth Rs. 1,565 crore by itsbuildings and factories business and Rs. 547 crore by power transmission and distribution business .
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1,375 per share and an intraday low of Rs. 1,345.05 per share on BSE on Monday. The stock had touched its 52-week high of Rs. 1,469.60 on February 1, 2018, and its 52-week low of Rs. 1,108.12 on June 30, 2017 on the BSE, respectively.
At 13:27 hours IST, the company was trading at Rs. 1,373.70 per share, up by 2.24 per cent on BSE on Monday. Meanwhile, S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 35,179.94 level, up by 0.73 per cent and NSE Nifty 50 was trading at 10,692 level, up by 0.82 per cent.
