For those who are new to trading and are not familiar with the term 'quantity freeze', we would like to explain it to you in a simple manner. The concept of quantity freeze has been introduced by the stock exchange in order to regulate the flow of orders within a certain specified quantity. The maximum quantity that can be placed by a user for F&O contracts is known as quantity freeze. Any order placed above the quantity freeze limit will be automatically cancelled by NSE and in case, one wishes to place an order for a quantity that is exceeding the threshold limit of quantity freeze, in that case, one needs to place multiple orders to fill.
