List of companies where mutual funds were net seller
The share price of Indian Railway Catering And Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is up by more than 60 per cent in the last one month (though in today’s trade at the time of writing it is down by 10 per cent) happens to be on the seller’s list in September 2021. Mutual funds sold shares worth Rs 1074 crore during last month. Among the mid-cap stocks, MFs offloaded IRCTC’s shares the most. This is not only the case with IRCTC, but even it is also true with some of the large-cap names. Mutual funds sold more than Rs 1000 crore worth of Reliance Industries shares in September 2021. Despite such selling, the share price gained 11 per cent. Another large-cap, Bharti Airtel that gained six per cent last month, had mutual funds sold Rs 5500 crore worth of shares.
