First-Ever Property in Punjab’s Historic City Marks Major Expansion Step

Sterling Holiday Resorts, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas Cook (India) Limited, has launched its first hotel in Punjab with the opening of Sterling Borderland Amritsar. With this, Sterling now operates in 53 destinations across India. The expansion marks its entry into the culturally rich and historic state of Punjab.

Prime Location in the City
Located on Lawrence Road, one of Amritsar’s busiest shopping areas, the hotel offers easy access to the Golden Temple (4 km), Jallianwala Bagh, the Wagah Border, and business hubs like Ranjit Avenue and Queen’s Road. The central location makes it ideal for both leisure and business travellers.

Stay and Comfort
The hotel features Classic Rooms, Premier Rooms, and Junior Suites. Guests can choose between king and twin beds. The interiors are modern and designed to suit families, solo guests, and business visitors, offering both comfort and functionality.

Food and Events
Sterling’s restaurant, Curry Cravings, offers a mix of Punjabi dishes like Amritsari Fish and Dahi Kebabs along with international cuisines. The hotel also has over 10,000 sq. ft. of event space across two banquet halls – Darbar 1 and Darbar 2 – ideal for weddings, conferences, and celebrations.
