Lasa Supergenerics jump after acquiring Harishree Aromatics
The shares of the pharmaceutical company, Lasa Supergenerics Limited jumped today to hit a fresh 52-week high after the company announced recently that it has acquired Harishree Aromatics & Chemicals Private Limited.
In a regulatory filing, the veterinary API manufacturing entity, Lasa Supergenerics said on February 26, 2020 that it has acquired Harishree Aromatics, which is engaged in the manufacturing of metals, chemicals and its products.
Dr Omkar Herlekar, Chairman of Lasa Supergenerics said that the consolidation between the two companies would result in an increase in the market share as well as product and services diversification. He added by saying that it has been a strategic decision which would help in reconstructing the company’s current potential and help in integrating further. The amalgamation would help in extracting synergistic benefits, better cash flow management, among others.
At the time of market closing, the stock of Lasa Supergenerics Ltd was trading at Rs 47.50, up by 4.97 per cent against its previous close of Rs 45.25. Its 52-week high is Rs 47.50 and its 52-week low is Rs 9.48 on BSE.
