Larsen and Toubro Construction arm receives order worth Rs. 1,394 crore
The water and effluent treatment business of L&T construction has won EPC orders worth Rs. 1,394 crore from the Water Resource Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
According to the contract, the company will be engaged in the execution of the Kundalia Irrigation Project - right bank. The project will provide water for micro-irrigation to more than 64,000 Ha. of cultivable land in the command Area of Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh by lifting water from the right bank of the Kundalia reservoir on the Kalisindh river. The scope would include survey, investigation, design, procurement, construction and installing of a pumping system, rising and gravity main line / branch lines / distribution network with a control and automation system.
The shares of L&T on Monday opened at Rs. 1,355 against a previous close of Rs. 1,342.90 per share on the BSE. The intraday high was Rs. 1,356.85 per share and intraday low was Rs. 1,345.40 per share. Its 52-week high was Rs. 1,470 and 52-week low was Rs. 1,115.90 per share.
At 11:43 hours, the shares of L&T were trading at Rs. 1,352.80 per share, up by 0.78 per cent. While the BSE Sensex was quoting 38,638.04 level up by 0.99 per cent and Nifty50 was quoting 11,666.35 level up by 0.95 per cent.
