KEC International rises 2 per cent on securing orders worth Rs 1,033 crore
The engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) company, KEC International, announced on Thursday that it has secured multiple orders worth Rs 1,033 crore across its various business segments.
The company's power transmission and distribution segment won orders worth Rs 890 crore for multiple projects in India, Africa, East Asia Pacific, and America. Additionally, orders valued at Rs 79 crore have been secured by the company’s railway business for signalling and telecommunication as well as for metro electrification works in India.
The cables business of the company has secured orders worth Rs 64 crore for various projects in India and overseas.
Speaking on the development, Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive of KEC International stated that the company’s international order book has strengthened significantly in the last few months, especially in the Middle East and African regions. He further stated that the order win for metro electrification works marked KEC International’s entry into the technologically-enabled areas of urban infrastructure.
Meanwhile, RPG Group has a presence in power transmission & distribution, railways, civil, solar, smart infrastructure, and cable businesses. It is currently executing infrastructure projects in 30 countries.
On Thursday, the stock of KEC International closed at Rs 349.35 per share, up by 1.56 per cent or Rs 5.35 per share on BSE, against a 1.65 per cent gain in the benchmark index. The 52-week high is recorded at Rs 359.15 and the 52-week low is Rs 154.50 on BSE.
