KEC International bags new orders worth Rs 1,140 crore; stock surges 2 per cent
KEC International, a global infrastructure EPC major & RPG Group company has secured orders worth Rs 1,140 crore across various businesses.
The businesses, which have witnessed the inflow of orders are transmission & distribution (T&D), railways, and civil. The transmission & distribution business has secured orders worth Rs 963 crore for T&D projects in the Middle East and Africa. Besides, the railways’ business has an order inflow of Rs 113 crore for 2x25 kV overhead electrification (OHE) and associated works for speed upgradation in India. The civil business has orders worth Rs 64 crore for infra works in the hydrocarbon segment in India.
The newly-received orders have strengthened the order book of the company's core T&D businesses. The railways' business continues to expand its presence in emerging areas by bagging its first order in the area of semi high-speed rail. The order in civil business also opens ample opportunities for the company.
KEC International is engaged in the construction of utility projects, having segments in India & abroad.
Reacting to the news, on Monday, the share of KEC International climbed 2.33 per cent to Rs 440.65 on BSE.
