Kajaria Ceramics starts commercial production at Andhra facility
One of the country’s top ceramic tile manufacturers, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, announced that it’s fully owned subsidiary, KTPL, has started the commercial production in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
The company released the press note on Saturday which mentioned the start of production of the plant. KTPL has started the commercial production of tiles on September 29, 2019 at its manufacturing facility situated at Industrial Park, Thatiparthi (V), Thottambedu (M), Andhra Pradesh. The capacity of the said manufacturing facility of KTPL will be 5 MSM tiles per annum. Total capacity of the Kajaria stands at 68 MSM at the end of FY19.
Kajaria Tiles Private Limited, which is formerly known as Kajaria Floera Ceramics (KTPL), is fully owned subsidiary of the Kajaria Ceramics Ltd. Earlier last week, the company had also announced that the KTPL will be merged with the Kajaria Ceramics. The board of directors of the company had approved the scheme of amalgamation. The proposed scheme of arrangement is further subject to approval from NCLT.
Kajaria Ceramics India’s largest ceramic floor and wall tile manufacturer. It has standalone manufacturing capacity of 49.3 MSM. The total capacity, after adding subsidiary and joint ventures, stands at 68 MSM per annum.
At 11.45 hours, on Monday, the stock traded at Rs. 565.50, higher by 2 per cent in BSE. The stock had opened at Rs. 562.60 as compared to its previous close of Rs. 554.75. It has hit an intraday high of Rs. 571.15 and low of Rs. 560.90.
