JSW Steel to expand Vijayanagar manufacturing capacity by FY20
India’s leading steel company, JSW Steel, has informed the bourses that it is planning to increase the annual steel manufacturing capacity of its JSW Vijayanagar works to 13MTPA. The capacity expansion is likely to be completed by March 2020.
The company has also launched many other upgradation and expansion projects. These are likely to result in considerable cost savings in the operations over the long term.
JSW Steel is a part of the JSW Group, having presence in sectors such as steel, energy, infrastructure, cement, ventures and sports. JSW Steel is a leading integrated steel company in India with an installed steel-making capacity of 18 MTPA. JSW Steel’s plant at Vijayanagar in Karnataka is the largest single location steel producing facility in the country having capacity of 12 MTPA.
Today, the JSW Steel stock opened at Rs 316.10 and touched an intra-day low of Rs 314.40 and on 9:53 am the stock is quoting at Rs.314.60 per share
