JSPL reports highest ever crude steel production in March
Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has posted highest ever monthly crude steel production for the month of March 2018 at 0.45MT, almost jumped by 55 per cent. For Q4FY18, it has reported production of 1.26MT, registering jump of 38 per cent.
This remarkable numbers were achieved on account of the recent completion of Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) plant with capacity of 5MTPA at Angul. The company is planning to achieve more than 85 per cent utilization level at Angul plant in the next three-four months.
During FY18, company has increased its domestic steel manufacturing capacities by 3.2 MTPA, leading its domestic crude steel manufacturing capacity to 8.6 MTPA. Also, the total steel producing capacity of JSPL (including Jindal Shadeed, Oman) stands at 10.6 MTPA.
On Monday, the stock opened at Rs. 241.20 and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 244.50 and Rs. 240.75, respectively, on the BSE.
