JSPL jumps 3 per cent on posting highest ever production & sales in FY21
Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has ended the fiscal year on a strong note with the sales increasing 61 per cent YoY in March 2021 thereby, hitting a new record of 7,86,000 tonnes.
The company has reported its highest-ever annual production at 7.51 million tonnes in FY21. The production has shown an increase of 19 per cent on a YoY basis. Apart from this, the company has recorded its highest-ever sales during the same period. The revenue of the company grew 20 per cent in FY21 over FY20 and stood at 7.28 million tonnes.
A combination of robust domestic demand, attractive export markets, and a wide range of products have all contributed to JSPL, reporting the steepest rise in sales in FY21. The production for the first time in 4QFY21 comfortably crossed the 2 million tonnes mark.
On Tuesday, the shares of the company reacted positively and were trading 3 per cent higher in the early morning hours. Meanwhile, at 12.07 pm, its shares were trading 1.74 per cent higher at Rs 389.25 on BSE.
