Jio Fibre to offer 100 mbps speed, launch on Sept 5
Reliance Industries' Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of Jio Gigafiber services from September 5. The base plans offers internet speed 100 mbps at Rs. 700 per month.
Speaking at the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Monday, Ambani said that Reliance Jio managed to acquire 340 million customers at a run rate of 10 million new customers per month. Jio is not only the largest telecom operator in India, but also the second largest operator in the World in a short span of 3 years.
Going ahead, the company aims to provide Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity across the country, to be launched on January 1, 2020. The company also plans to extend it services as home broadband entertainment broadband and services for small and medium enterprises across India.

Jio Fiber's base plans starts at Rs. 700 per month with speeds of 100 megabytes per second, while the upper end will be at Rs. 10,000 per month reaching speed of 1 gigabyte per second.
