Jain Irrigation bags Rs. 375 crore contract in Pune city
Jain Irrigation Systems Limited (JISL) wins Rs. 375 crore turnkey contract from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
The contract involves evaluation and analysis of the present water supply system, design validation and revamps of water supply system including water audit, SCADA, non-revenue water reduction, bill generation, operation and maintenance of the system. JISL has to provide solutions to convert the present water system into 24x7 equitable constant-pressure distribution system for the city. This project involves a pipeline of 508 Km, installation of 49,000 water meters and 1,339 kms of laying of utility ducts apart from water pipeline.
JISL is a multinational company with manufacturing plants in 30 locations. The company and its subsidiaries and associates are engaged in providing agricultural irrigation, piping and infrastructure for Micro Irrigation Systems. It also operates in agro-processed products, renewable energy and other agricultural inputs sector.
On Thursday, the stock of Jain Irrigation closed at Rs. 69.30 per share, down by 1.42 per cent.
