Jain Irrigation bags mega irrigation project
The company has received Rs. 975 crore micro irrigation order for the Mohanpura Major Project in the state of Madhya Pradesh, said a press release on Friday.
Mohanpura Major Project is a future-proof plan which will bring a total cultivable command area of 2,28,475 acre under micro irrigation system. Valued at Rs. 975 crore, the project has to be completed in a span of 3 years. Jain Irrigation has received a Letter of Intent from the Water Resources Department of the state government of Madhya Pradesh for the project, which is situated in Rajgarh district. The work includes survey, design, planning, engineering and execution of various installations like pump machinery, delivery chambers, upgradation of Rojya Dam, distribution network, automation, other civil works and operation and maintenance for three years post the completion.
Jain Irrigation Systems and its subsidiaries are engaged in providing agriculture solutions. The company manufactures micro irrigation systems, PVC pipes, Plastic sheets, HDPE pipes, processed agri-products, renewable energy solutions other agricultural inputs.
Meanwhile in Friday's early morning session, at 9:32 the stock of Jain Irrigation was at Rs. 76.10 per share, up by 2.70 per cent. But on Thursday, the stock had closed at Rs. 74.10 per share, down by Rs. 4.70 or 5.96 per cent on BSE.
