ITC Q2 earnings report: Profit up by 22 per cent YoY on rising demand
Though the cigarette segment contributes only 38 per cent revenue, EBITDA contribution is much higher at 80 per cent which is Rs 3,583 crore of total EBITDA Rs 4,512 crore
Cigarettes-to-hotels conglomerate ITC Ltd on October 27 declared its results for the second quarter ending September 30, 2021.
The company's revenue from operations rose 13 per cent to Rs 14,844 crore from Rs 13,147 crore in the same quarter last year. Net Profit rose 22 per cent to Rs. 3,714 crore on a YoY basis.
Revenue is contributed from,
- FMCG cigarette – 38 per cent,
- FMCG others – 27 per cent,
- Hotel business – 2 per cent,
- Agri business – 19 per cent,
- Paperboard, paper and packaging – 12.5 per cent.

FMCG Cigarette
- Segment Revenue is up 10.3 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 5,641 crore.
- Segment EBITDA is up 10.4 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 3,583 crore.
FMCG Others
- Segment Revenue is up 23 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 4,036 crore
- Segment EBITDA is up 2.2 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 271 crore
Agri Business
- Segment Revenue is down 7 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 2,776 crore.
- Segment EBITDA is up 15.7 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 296 crore.
Paperboard, paper and packaging
- Segment Revenue is up 25 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 1,830 crore.
- Segment EBITDA is up 24 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 409 crore.
Hotel business
- Segment Revenue is up 135 per cent on a YOY basis stood at Rs 295 crore
- Segment EBITDA loss is narrowed to Rs 47 crore compared to a loss of Rs 151 crore last year this quarter.
