Issuers raise Rs. 6,900 crores on BSE BOND platform post new guidelines
BSE, India's fastest bourses, announced that Issuers have successfully raised Rs. 6,900 crores on its BSE BOND platform as per the Revised Guidelines issued by SEBI.
BSE had launched the platform on July 1, 2016 for Electronic Book Mechanism BSE BOND. The platform enables issuers offer debt securities on private placement basis.
In a media release on Tuesday BSE said that till date five Issuers have done seven issues of bonds to successfully raise Rs. 6,900 crores on the BSE BOND platform after the rollout of the new SEBI Circular on January 5, 2018, which became effective on April 1, 2018. Issuers like Reliance Jio Infocomm, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation have successfully raised funds on the as per the revised guidelines.
The BSE BOND platform has been a preferred choice for companies to raise Debt Capital in India. In FY18, 84 Issuers executed 532 issues of bonds and raised Rs. 2,08,906 crores using the platform.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, BSE Limited closed at Rs. 827.75 per share, down Rs. 0.30 or 0.04 per cent on NSE. The scrip attracted a traded volume of 1,11,679 shares on NSE.
