Infosys & Qualcomm join hands for smart cities solution

Information technology consulting company, Infosys announced that they have partnered with Qualcomm Incorporated, an American multinational semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company for its Smart Cities Accelerator Programme.

In a statement released on March 10, 2020, Infosys said that they have joined the above mentioned programme with an aim to provide smart stadiums, venues as well as for offering end-to-end solutions for event management. 

The programme connect enterprises, state-run agencies, municipalities and cities with Qualcomm Technologies’ ecosystem in delivering efficient, cost saving and access to solutions of smart cities’ problems.

Discussing about the programme, Infosys further added that through this, the facility managers of venues and stadiums would be able to experience energy efficiency and people productivity by re-imagining the spaces with the company’s smart space solution and Qualcomm’s connectivity and computing. 

At 11.42 am on Wednesday, the stock of Infosys Ltd is trading at Rs 682.95, down by 2.98 per cent against its previous close of Rs 703.90. Its 52-week high is Rs 847.40 while, its 52-week low is Rs 615.00 on BSE.
