Indian Hume Pipe shines on order win of Rs 134.82 crore in Odisha
Indian Hume Pipe Company Limited bagged a work order worth Rs 134.82 crore from Rural Water Supply & Sanitation, Odisha, for the execution of rural piped water supply projects pertaining to Kashinagar & Gumma Block of Gajapati.
The project includes five years of operation and maintenance on an EPC contract basis. The project is to be completed within 2 years.
The company’s order book as on August 18, 2020, stood at Rs 4,445 crore. Considering its revenue for FY20, the book-to-bill ratio comes out at 2.7x giving revenue visibility for the next two to three years.
On the financial front, the company’s standalone revenue for the quarter Q1FY21 came in at Rs 217.73 crore as against Rs 463.19 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a 53 per cent YoY decline. EBITDA for the quarter fell by 70.2 per cent YoY to Rs 15.26 crore as against Rs 51.28 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin contraction of 406 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 7 per cent. It incurred a net loss of Rs 5.53 crore as against the net profit of Rs 20.94 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Indian Hume Pipe is a pioneer in the field of water supply industry having presence across urban & rural water supply, penstock for hydropower generation, tunnel lining, and large diameter irrigation pipelines, headworks including pumping machinery, treatment plants, overhead tanks, and other allied civil construction.
On Wednesday, during the early morning session, the stock of Indian Hume Pipe zoomed 5.4 per cent to Rs 182 from its previous close of Rs 172.75 on BSE.
