HFCL posts robust quarterly numbers
Himachal Futuristic Communications (HFCL) standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 944.15 crore, registering 31.7 per cent yoy increase. This was primarily driven by 39 per cent yoy jump in the revenue of contract & services segment (contributes around 78 per cent to total revenue).
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 104.6 per cent yoy to Rs. 75.15 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 284 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 8 per cent. This margin expansion was aided by lower input cost in proportion to sales.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 58.75 crore, yoy increase of 85.9 per cent. This was partly due to 41 per cent yoy increase in other income and one-time gain of Rs. 1.8 crore.
In fiscal year 2018, HFCL’s revenue grow 49.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 3084 crore. EBITDA for the full year also surged 45.6 per cent yoy to Rs. 263 crore, while margins decline marginally by 20 bps. EBITDA margin for full year stood at 8.5 per cent. But net profit during the period increase by 25.3 per cent yoy to Rs. 155 crore.
HFCL and its technological partner Vanu India Pvt Ltd have won from BSNL. The contract to HFCL covers products and services worth Rs. 579 crore.
