Hero MotoCorp sells 5.48 lakh units in October 2021
Demand in the festive season has been building up as we move towards Dhanteras and Diwali, and expect healthy retail over the coming weeks
Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, sold 547,970 units of two-wheelers in October 2021.
This is a sequential growth over the volume sales in the month of September, when Hero MotoCorp dispatched 530,346 units of motorcycles and scooters, indicating a gradual recovery in the economy.
Product Breakup
- Motorcycles – 5.05 lakh units vs 7.32 lakh units last year same month.
- Scooters – 42,013 units vs 74,350 units last year same month.
- Domestic sales– 5.27 lakh units vs 7.91 lakh units last year same month.
- Exports – 20,191 units vs 15,711 units last year same month.
Demand drivers
Demand in the festive season has been building up as we move towards Dhanteras and Diwali, and expect healthy retail over the coming weeks. With the economy gradually opening up with several other positive indicators, such as encouraging farm activity and a surge in preference for personal mobility, a swift revival in sales is expected in the coming months.
New release on October
In line with its commitment towards bringing youthful products for its customers, Hero MotoCorp introduced a range of new two-wheelers during the month of October. The company has brought two exciting additions to its ‘X’-range of the premium portfolio - Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition and XPulse 200 4 Valve. The company’s scooter range also got a festive cheer with the new Pleasure+ XTec.
Stepping into UAE
With international markets gradually opening up, Hero MotoCorp has also accelerated its global expansion plans. During the month, the company inaugurated its new exclusive dealership in Dubai, further strengthening its presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The share closed at Rs 2,690 which is Rs 9.30 or 0.35 per cent up for the day on November 2.
