Heranba Industries gets approval for capacity expansion at Sarigam plant
Heranba Industries Ltd, a domestic agrochemical company engaged in the production of synthetic pyrethroids and its intermediates, announced today that it has received environmental clearance for the expansion of pesticides intermediates, fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides manufacturing at its Sarigam plant in Gujarat. This clearance was granted by Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change of Government of India.
At present, the company’s Sarigam plant has a land area of 55,000 sq. mt while the proposed expansion will be done within this existing area. Along with this, the company will develop a greenbelt in an area of 12,650 sqm, which covers 33 per cent of the project area.
This project involves a capacity addition of 24,900 tonnes per annum (TPA) and includes manufacturing of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides & pesticides intermediates. The estimated cost for this expansion is Rs 110 crore. This includes an existing investment of Rs 20 crore.
This expansion will result in the creation of employment opportunities for 170 persons directly and 100 indirectly.
At 11.21 am, the share price of Heranba Industries Ltd was trading at Rs 736.10, an increase of 4.75 per cent over its previous closing price of Rs 702.70 on BSE.
