Gujarat Gas contributes most to the BSE Smallcap Index gains; MT Educare zooms 20 per cent

Gujarat Gas was the biggest contributor to the index gains by contributing almost 13.44 points.

The broader markets do not seem to be in any mood to halt the ongoing momentum. 

BSE Smallcaps Index touched its all-time highs on Tuesday trading session to close at 25186.27 levels, up by 0.44 per cent after making an intraday high of 25272.21.  BSE Smallcaps index is up by more than 11.65 per cent in one month, 37.92 per cent on YTD basis and 112.55 per cent on in one year. 

Gujarat Gas was the biggest contributor to the index gains by contributing almost 13.44 points followed by GSPL which contributed 8.71 points, SRF 8.11 points and Dalmia Bharat contributed 7.86 points to the overall gains of 110 points of the index. Gujarat Gas gained more than 8 per cent on Tuesday to close at its life-highs. The stock is already up by more than 23.67 per cent in one month. 

MT Educare was the top Smallcap gainer, up by 20 per cent, followed by SREI Infra gaining 19.90 per cent, RIIL soaring by 19.53 per cent, ACE strengthening by 17.02 per cent and Sanghvi Movers gaining 13.82 per cent. 

Amongst the sectoral indices, except healthcare and metal, all the other indices ended in the green wherein banking, realty, and oil & gas were the top gainers. Sensex shut shop at 52773 levels, up by 0.42 per cent on Tuesday trading session.
