Gujarat Alkalies begin commercial production at Dahej
Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Limited informed the bourses that the company has started its commercial production at Dahej plant.
The company has taken up the project for the expansion of 16,500 tonnes per annum (TPA) of Anhydrous Aluminium Chloride (AAC) plant. The cost of the said project is around Rs 35 crore.
Company has guided incremental revenue from this expansion of nearly Rs 65 crore.
With the above said expansion, the total capacity of company’s AAC plant at Dahej now stands at 42,420 TPA.
The company also mentioned about the complete shutdown of all its plants at Baroda and Dahej, which would result in the delay of implementation of other projects in the coming time.

In today’s trading session, the stock of Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals gained nearly six per cent and made an intraday high of Rs 215.85 on BSE.
