Greaves Cotton jumps 3 per cent post Q4FY18 results
Greaves Cotton Limited, one of India's leading engineering companies, reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.
The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 486.15 crore, registering 11.8 per cent yoy increase. This was primarily driven by 12.9 per cent yoy increase in revenue from its Engine segment.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 31 per cent yoy to Rs. 69.85 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 211 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 14.4 per cent. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 56.65 crore, yoy increase of 20.8 per cent.
Looking at the full year numbers, we see that revenue jumped by 1 per cent to reach Rs. 1,839.7 crore while EBITDA rose by 5 per cent to Rs. 255.29 crore. The company reported net profit of Rs. 202.62 crore, up 12 per cent yoy.
The Board of Directors declared a final dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share of the face value of Rs. 2 each.
On Thursday, the stock opened at Rs. 123.95 per share and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 122.40 and Rs. 131.15, respectively, on the BSE.
