GNFC resumes production at TDI-II plant in Dahej
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC) has informed that its TDI-II Plant has now resumed its normal production after the completion of its scheduled maintenance.
On December 27, 2019, GNFC had informed the bourses that due to prevailing challenging external environment and market conditions of TDI, the company had planned shutdown of around three weeks by temporarily suspending the production at its TDI-II plant in Dahej. The said plant was to remain shut from December 27, 2019 to January 15, 2020. However, the shutdown period seems to have got extended from the specified date.
Also, currently due to Coronavirus pandemic, most of the states in India have gone into lockdown mode. Majority of the companies have suspended their operations at their manufacturing units/facilities until a further notice is issued by the government.
GNFC too cannot be an exception to this situation. However, any intimation about the suspension of its manufacturing units/facilities/plants, in view of the pandemic situation is still not provided by the company.
On Tuesday, the stock of GNFC opened at Rs 102.80. In the early morning session, it surged 9.5 per cent to Rs 109 from its previous close of Rs 99.50 on BSE.
