Germany, UK data centre of Wipro divested for US$ 399 million
Wipro announced that the company has completed the divestment of Wipro Data Centre and Cloud Services Inc, business in Germany and UK for a consideration of US$ 399 million.
India's third largest IT service firm, Wipro had disclosed plans to divest its hosted data centre service business in March. The company will receive US$ 6 million from Ensono as a part of the remaining consideration. As of now, Wipro has completed the acquisition of 10 per cent stake in Ensono Holdings, LCC. The management expects the divestment to affect the financial of the company for the quarter ending June 30, 2018.
On Friday, the stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 259 per share and an intraday low of Rs. 262 per share on the BSE. It had touched its 52-week high of Rs. 334 per share and its 52-week low of Rs. 252 per share on the BSE.
At 14:25 IST, the stock was trading at Rs.261.95 per share up by 1.89 per cent on the BSE. The BSE Sensex was trading at 35,404.60 level, up by 1.04 per cent while NSE Nifty50 was traded at 10,705.70 level, up by 1.01 per cent.
