GAIL Q4FY18 profit jumps over 4 times
GAIL reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.
The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 15,430.69 crore, registering 12.8 per cent yoy increase.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 9 per cent yoy to Rs. 1,695.27 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 39 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 11 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter jumped at Rs. 1,020.92 crore vs Rs. 260 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Looking at the full year numbers, we see that revenue jumped by 10 per cent to reach Rs. 53,825.49 crore while EBITDA rose by 19 per cent to Rs. 7,633.93 crore. Company reported net profit of Rs.4618.41 crore, up 32 per cent yoy.
The board of directors have recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.44 per equity share of the face value of Rs 10 each.
On Thursday, the stock opened at Rs. 330 per share and made an intraday low of Rs. 298.70 on the BSE.
