Future Supply: Benetton India awards logistics services contract
Leading third‐party logistics service provider Future Supply Chain signed an agreement with global clothing brand Benetton's India arm to manage and provide pan-India logistics services to the company.
According to the contract, Future Supply will manage the logistics and supply chain needs of Benetton India's multi‐customer distribution centre in North India. The company already provides express logistics services to Benetton.
Future Supply operates 91 distribution centres with a total warehouse space of approximately 7.31 million sqft. The company's hub‐and‐spoke distribution model covers 11,746 pin codes across the country as of December quarter. The company ran 835 containerized vehicles and 116 company owned refrigerated trucks to support its operations.
Future Supply has many illustrious companies in its client portfolio. The company’s non‐anchor customer portfolio provided for more than 38 per cent of its 9MFY19 revenues. Brands the company caters to include Pepperfry, TTK Prestige, Reckitt Benckiser, Snapdeal, Kellogg, Cadburys, Wildcraft and Pepe Jeans. The company secured contracts with leading companies like Haldirams and Crompton Greaves in this fiscal.
On Thursday, at 14:15 hours, the stock of Future Supply Chain Solutions was trading at Rs. 590 per share, up by Rs. 11.40 or 1.97 per cent. Meanwhile, the benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty50 were soaring with gains of 1 per cent each.
