Future Lifestyle Fashions reports subdued Q4FY18 result

Future Lifestyle Fashions reported subdued performance over the quarter with heavy deterioration in the bottom-line.

The total revenue for the quarter declined by 1 per cent yoy and 17.8 per cent qoq to Rs. 976 crore in Q4FY18 as against Rs. 986 crore in Q4FY17 and Rs. 1,188 crore in Q3FY18.

The EBITDA for the quarter declined by 7.6 per cent yoy to Rs. 87 crore in Q4FY18 as against Rs. 94 crore in Q4FY17 and Rs. 104 crore in the previous quarter. While the EBITDA margins for the quarter also contracted by 60 bps to 9 per cent in Q4FY18 as against 9.6 per cent in Q4FY17. This was due to higher other expenses.

The bottom-line for the quarter declined by 40 per cent yoy and 45 per cent qoq to Rs. 30 crore in Q4FY18 vs Rs. 50 crore in Q4FY17 after adjusting one time exceptional gain in Q4FY17.

On a full year basis, the revenue for FY18 grew by 9 per cent, EBITDA grew by 3 per cent yoy and margins contracted by 50 bps to 8.7 per cent. While the bottom-line lost 28.7 per cent in FY18 to Rs. 111 crore in FY18 as against Rs. 155 crore, this was largely due to higher tax expenses at 29 per cent in FY18 as against 19 per cent in FY17.
