Force Motors rallies post June sales numbers
Force Motors gained over 4 per cent in the morning trade on Thursday after the company announced its production and sales data for the month of June.
The automaker sold a total of 2,669 vehicles in June 2018 as against 2,466 vehicles in June 2017, reporting a growth of about 8 per cent YoY. Out of this, a total of 2,545 units were sold in the domestic market, while 124 units were exported.
The company’s sales for the first quarter of FY19 increased 5 per cent YoY to 6,772 vehicles. At the end of FY18, the company had a debt-free balance sheet with cash and liquid assets of about Rs. 247 crore.
At 11:11 hours on Thursday, Force Motors was trading at Rs. 2,481.95 per share, up Rs. 85.20 or 3.55 per cent on BSE. The stock opened at Rs. 2,434 and touched an intra-day high of Rs. 2,510 per share on BSE. The stock touched its 52-week high Rs. 4,379.80 and 52-week low Rs. 2,390 on July 14, 2017 and July 4, 2018, respectively. The stock attracted a traded volume of 25,310 shares on BSE.
