Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
The domestic benchmark indices opened the last trading session of the week on a positive note. At 11.31 am, Sensex, as well as Nifty, climbed 2.79 per cent & 2.91 per cent and were spotted trading at 56,048.72 and 16,721.45 levels, respectively.
Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, and Bajaj Finance emerged as the top gainers of today's session, which soared 5.85 per cent, 5.51 per cent & 5.27 per cent, respectively.
