Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
Sensex and Nifty opened Tuesday's trading session on a weak note. At 11.41 am, Sensex was seen trading at 57,017.94 level, plunging 1.15 per cent while Nifty tanked 1.18 per cent to be at 17,003.35 level.
Tata Steel, TCS, and Dr Reddy's Laboratories emerged as the top losers of the day, which plummeted 3.19 per cent, 3.18 per cent & 2.09 per cent, respectively.
