Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
On Wednesday, the domestic benchmark indices opened in the positive territory. However, at 11.33 am, both Sensex, as well as Nifty, were spotted in the red zone i.e. down by 0.04 per cent each, trading at 57,876.72 levels and 17,226.25 levels, respectively.
The top three gainers of today's session include Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, and Induslnd Bank, which climbed 1.85 per cent, 1.74 per cent & 1.33 per cent, respectively. On the other hand, Tata Steel, ITC, and Power Grid turned out to be the top losers, which tanked 1.41 per cent, 1.02 per cent & 0.71 per cent, respectively.
