Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
On Monday, the domestic benchmark indices opened higher, and even at 12.07 pm, both were spotted in the green zone. Sensex and Nifty climbed 0.18 per cent & 0.22 per cent and were seen trading at 58,891.27 as well as 17,549.15 levels, respectively.
The top three gainers of today's session include Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, and Power Grid, which soared 3.34 per cent, 2.70 per cent & 1.88 per cent, respectively. On the other hand, Bajaj Finance, Reliance, and Bajaj Finserv turned out to be the top three losers, which tanked 2.32 per cent, 1.25 per cent & 1.24 per cent, respectively.
