Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
The domestic benchmark indices kicked off Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note. At 11.42 am, Sensex and Nifty climbed 0.03 per cent each and were seen trading at 60,156.69 & 17,934.55 levels, respectively.
The top three gainers of today’s session include Maruti, NTPC and Titan, which surged 3.41 per cent, 1.82 per cent & 1.29 per cent, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sun Pharmaceutical, Tech Mahindra and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories turned out to be the top three losers today, which plunged 1.90 per cent, 1.68 per cent & 1.24 per cent, respectively.
