Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
Both Sensex and Nifty were seen trading in the red zone on Tuesday at 12 pm. Sensex plunged 0.32 per cent and was trading at 59,944.21 while Nifty was at 17,870.20, down by 0.42 per cent.
Titan, Bajaj Finserv, and Bajaj Auto emerged as the top three gainers today, climbing 4.17 per cent, 3.71 per cent & 2.37 per cent, respectively.
Meanwhile, the top three losers included HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra & UltraTech Cement, which plunged 4.46 per cent, 2.42 per cent, and 1.69 per cent, respectively.
