Five stocks witnessing short build-up
Short build-up indicates that more investors expect rates to fall and are taking short bets.
The trading session on Monday marked the beginning of the expiry week for the Future & Options series for February. It's been a favourable month for the Nifty, with the index reaching new highs.
So far in the February series, the Nifty has surged by over 850 points, a significant rebound from the January series where it experienced a decline of approximately 450 points.
By 11 am, the Sensex had dropped by 397.53 points, or 0.54 per cent, standing at 72,745.27, while the Nifty decreased by 110.70 points, or 0.50 per cent, to 22,102.00. The market saw 1,606 shares advancing, 1,727 shares declining, and 113 shares remaining unchanged.
