Five stocks witnessing long unwinding
Long unwinding refers to selling of positions or stocks owned for a longer period either to book profit or to exit it in anticipation of impending bearishness.
After opening in the red for two consecutive days, the domestic benchmark indices opened Wednesday's session on a positive note. At 11.22 am, both Sensex and Nifty were seen trading in the green zone at 58,859.57 & 17,573.65 levels, up by 0.33 per cent and 0.40 per cent, respectively.
ICICI Bank, NTPC, and Bharti Airtel emerged as the top three gainers today, which climbed 1.82 per cent, 1.80 per cent & 1.45 per cent, respectively.
