Five stocks witnessing long unwinding
Long unwinding refers to selling of positions or stocks owned for a longer period either to book profit or to exit it in anticipation of impending bearishness.
The domestic benchmark indices opened in the red on the second consecutive session of the week. At 10.59 am on Tuesday, both Sensex and Nifty were spotted in the negative territory. Sensex was trading at 58,188.21 levels, down by 0.47 per cent while Nifty inched lower by 0.21 per cent to be at 17,380.25 levels.
Tata Steel, Power Grid, and NTPC emerged as the top three gainers today, which climbed 3.11 per cent, 1.65 per cent & 0.92 per cent, respectively.
