Five stocks witnessing long unwinding
Long unwinding refers to selling of positions or stocks owned for a longer period either to book profit or to exit it in anticipation of impending bearishness.
On Wednesday, the domestic benchmark indices opened on a flat note but soon, drifted towards the negative territory. At 11.40 am, Sensex was trading at 61,638.74, down by 0.13 per cent while Nifty inched lower by 0.21 per cent at 18,379.45.
Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, and HCL Technologies emerged as the top three gainers today, which climbed 4.08 per cent, 3.39 per cent & 2.19 per cent, respectively.
