Five new stocks to enter F&O series from March

On Friday, NSE announced that it has added five new stocks in the Futures and Options (F&O) segment.  

The reported stocks are Alkem Laboratories, AU Small Finance Bank , Deepak Nitrite , Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation, and Nippon Life India Asset Management.The stocks would be added with effect from February 26, 2021.  

The stocks will be added to the Futures and Options segment based on the stock selection criteria, which is prescribed by Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI). New securities being introduced in the F&O segment are based on the eligibility criteria, which include average daily market capitalisation, average daily traded value, and market-wide position limit in the security, quarter sigma values, average daily deliverable value, as approved by SEBI. Also, the number of eligible securities may change from month to month in relation with the changes in average daily market capitalisation, average daily traded value, quarter sigma order sizes, and average daily deliverable value calculated every month on a rolling basis for the past six months along with the market-wide position limit in that security.
